Bout of Books Read-a-Thon Goals, Stats N Crap

I liked my title so much for the last RAT I did that it’s staying. End of story. I will update my stats here every day and re-post so all of you can bask in the glories that are my accomplishments. Or you can just read and say “Hmm.” Your choice. Again, thanks to Ellie at Musings of a Bookshop Girl. For a version of this form. Els, I figure we’re even – not that anyone was keeping score. 🙂 Now get back to your pensioners looking to pick up their copies of Fifty Shades of Grey that you stashed behind the counter. (Your welcome for THAT picture that will stay in your head all day.)

Here are the books I am choosing from for this RAT. I hope to read at least four, but it is back-to-school and schedule pick up time, so good luck to me:

  • Stealing Breath by Joanne Brothwell
  • Gimme A Call by Sarah Mlynowski
  • Shine by Lauren Myracle
  • Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers
  • Unraveling by Elizabeth Norris
  • The Fault In Our Stars by John Green
  • Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

  1. YAY for Bout of Books! 🙂 I’m doing it, and may suck at the whole reading progress, but OH WELL! 🙂 Good luck with your Stats N Crap! LOL! Look forward to reading your challenges!! 🙂

    1. Hooray, you’re here! I’ll take a look at your list o books and see what you’re reading. I am coming off of another RAT, but my progress there was pretty so-so. It’s hard to read when I am not home alone during the day! Good luck to you!

    1. I have been on the wait list for TFIOS for MONTHS. I am excited to finally get it. I had the other in my grasp, but didn’t get to it & couldn’t check out again, so had to wait a couple of months for that one again. I may have to read them 2d and 3d!

    1. It looks like the thickest book in my stack… I know! I will read them in order of people’s comments! So, next is John Green, then Stephanie Perkins, then Grave Mercy. OMG that will only leave THREE in my library book pile! I am tingling because I think I see light at the end of that RAT! Sorry, I hyperventilated a bit.

  2. Over 1000 pages, woohoo! Congratulations – and I’ll be back to check out your thoughts on ‘Grave Mercy’ so I know whether to add it to my library list or not!

I managed a pitiful 180 pages *blushes* what with the sudden leap foward in our moving-house progress. Oh well, it may have been a rubbish BoB week, but at least I have an all-time low page count to beat THIS wek, right? 😉

P.S. We haven’t had a copy of 50 Shades yet… I know it takes a while for books to trickle down to the second-hand market, but come on! With so many copies out there, they must be starting to change hands by now, surely?

    1. I am surprised that I got that far. Grave Mercy put me over the top for sure! It’s almost 600 pages. I loved it, BTW. I am stingy with my 5 Stars, but I gave it 5.
It’s never fun to move…I feel for you! Even when you know how much crap you have, you really never know fully until you have to pack it all up.
Oh I am sure it’s just a matter of time before Shades starts to trickle in. I have had it on my Nook for many months now, but what with all the other reading I have been doing, I haven’t gotten to it yet. Probably will once school starts again.
