Feature and Follow Friday 2.22.2013

Welcome to my post for Feature and Follow Friday. This meme is the brainchild of Alison at Alison Can Read and Rachel at Parajunkee’s View.

Each week, in addition to a question to answer, one of the previous week’s participants will be randomly selected by each host for an interview (hence the Feature portion of the meme). This week’s featured bloggers are Reading…Dreaming and Jelly’s Insider.

Here’s this week’s question:

We always talk about books that WE want. Let’s turn it on its head. What books have you given other people lately?

I live with two readers, and come from a family who enjoy books. I love to give books as presents because there is literally a book about everything, which means, something for everyone. I especially love giving first editions or signed copies of books. The perfect book can show a lot of thought.

We just bought some books last weekend for my daughter – she got Cindy Ella by Robin Palmer, Beige by Cecil Castellucci and a couple of others. At Christmas, I gave a copy of The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling to one of my reader-y friends. I know we gave some to our daughter then, too, but I have to be honest and say I don’t recall all of them right now.

To be super duper honest, I think the person I have purchased the most books for…is me.

  1. It’s great you have a circle of readers. I’m sure all of them enjoyed the books! I love buying books for myself.

    1. Yeah, I stole it from somewhere…it’s so true! Look at today’s trends in books and they will be a film in about 3-4 years.

I am sure I will read Cindy Ella when my daughter’s finished. She has really liked it and I hear her yucking it up a lot…

      Great weekend to you, Quinn!

    1. Cool! Thanks for commenting. She is loving the book – I hear her laughing really hard at some parts. She really likes the characters.

Thanks for following! I’ll check out your blog, too.
