Please leave a message at the BEEP ~ ‘Eighth Grave After Dark’ by Darynda Jones #Review

Eighth Grave After Dark by Darynda Jones(Charley Davidson #8)

I don’t think I can even try to describe what is happening now in book #8 without giving all previous books away. Suffice it to say that Charley is about to have the baby, she and Reyes have been stuck for the previous eight months at a former convent (sacred ground and all that), the hellhounds are still circling and the Grim Reaper needs coffee.

The cool thing is that there is always a twist,a new addition to the series plot in each volume; reading the first few, you still won’t know what’s in store. But the usual suspects that you’ve come to love are still around, too. And the smart-assery, sex hotter than molten lava, and nicknames for body parts and inanimate objects. The books are fast reads, only because they suck you in. The balance of humor and seriousness are well done.

So, sorry, I am only going to acknowledge that I read and loved this Vol. 8; the rest is up to you. If you like fiction with a strong female lead (she can see dead people), fantasy, and huge doses of laugh-out-loud funny stuff, what are you waiting for?
