Review: ‘Summer Days and Summer Nights: Twelve Love Stories’ ed. by Stephanie Perkins #COYER #SRC

Twelve stories about summer told in twelve different styles by twelve of the most wonderful Young Adult authors.Summer Days & Summer Nights by Stephanie Perkins, et al

I was really excited to see this compilation when I was looking for books to read for my Summer Reading Challenge. And while it is a good book with good stories, I have to say I was a little disappointed. I guess I got my hopes up a little too high when I saw the dazzling array of authors that were to be included.

They’ve got everything here: fantasy, horror, romance, sci fi. There are every type of person (and non-person) and a variety of types of relationships. Those are the reasons this is a good anthology. And while I did like some stories more than others, and the writing is well-done, nothing really clicked with me.
