The Sunday Post 12.2.2012

This is a fun meme started by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. As she says:

~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Well, I did it. And, as a result, I didn’t do it. Meaning:

  1. I finished #NaNoWriMo and am officially a WINNER. I even have the certificate to prove it! 50,000 words written in one month. I’m far from finished, but it was just the thing I needed to kick start my book writing.  Because of this, I didn’t read and/or write on my blog as much as I would have liked.
  2. Monday, WordPress told me, was my blog’s 7th Anniversary (I thought it was a week later, but I believe WP). I wrote about some stuff here.
  3.  Tuesday I posted my review for an ARR called My Disjointed Life by Martin Reed.
  4. On Wednesday, I posted something called On the #NaNoWriMo Home Stretch so we could catch up and you wouldn’t miss me too much.
  5. Alas, Thursday and Friday were post-less. Finishing NaNoWriMo and relaxing after I was finished meant no posts. Frowny face.
  6. This was the second week of my meme called Songs of the Week. On Saturdays, I post what songs I have listened to that week. I am hoping that others will join me so I can find new stuff. Check out this week’s post.

Coming up this week:

  1. I finished Death and the Girl Next Door by Darynda Jones and will be writing/posting the review.
  2. I have started reading Black Swan Green by David Mitchell, the author of Cloud Atlas. I will finish this week and write a review.
  3. I have to read Cloud Atlas in the next 10 days as it is due at the library.
  4. Still to read: The Candidates by Inara Scott; C I N by Christian Leigh Pritchard;Torched by Andrea Lynn Colt; Crashing Eden by Michael Sussman; and The Tragedy Paper by Elizabeth Laban.
  5. New books I have received this week to read: Wraith 2: Shadow Bound by Angel Lawson; Hooked by Liz Fichera; and Exposure by Kim Askew and Amy Helmes.
  6. Picking up The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater from the library tomorrow.
Have a great first week of December! Leave me a comment with your link! Peace out.

  1. Awright, a NaNoWriMo win! Way to go! That’s such a good feeling. 😀

I’ll look forward to hearing your thoughts on The Raven Boys. That’s one I’ve been interested in reading for some time; just haven’t gotten around to it.

    1. Thank you! I am not finished with my “book” (sounds funny) but I am taking a week off before I start back up again. I just picked up The Raven Boys today from the library. Hopefully I will get to it in the next week or so.
