The Sunday Post 4.7.2013

The Sunday Post MemeThis is a fun meme started by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. As she says:

~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Here’s the awesomeness that you read, ingested, missed, hated, loved {whatever} last week:

Let’s see how I fared…

What I Posted

  1. Last week’s The Sunday Post
  2. Release Day Review/Giveaway: My Ex From Hell by Tellulah Darling
  3. Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Characters I Would Crush On If I Were Also a Fictional Character
  4. New Release Book Review: Spellbinding by Maya Gold
  5. Book Review: Looking for Alaska by John Green
  6. Feature and Follow Friday
  7. Essay: Wieners Wieners Wieners

What’d I Get This Week, You Ask?

I only got a couple of things from the library this week:

  • Everbound by Brodi Ashton, the sequel to Everneath
  • Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging by Louis Rennison

I don’t know what came over me, but I must’ve forgotten to reserve the DVDs of the fourth season of True Blood. That’s been since rectified, and I have only seen about 3 episodes so far. It certainly promises to not let up on the crazy plot lines.  And, hooray! (she said sarcastically) there are only 25 people in front of me for the Season Five set.

What’s Up For This Week?

Well, I didn’t get to Reached by Ally Condie last week, so I reluctantly returned it to the library. I will re-check it when I have time. I also did not finish A Corner of White by Jaclyn Moriarty or Price of Justice by Alan Brenham. They will be finished this week and reviewed. Also:

  • I have read The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith and will post a review this week.
  • I will read and post a review for Variant by Robison Wells.
  • I will also participate in the usual memes.

See you all next week!

    1. Awesome! Texans rock, as you well know. I need to do more than sport the Literary Lonestars badge – I need to make an effort to connect with more Texas bloggers. Have you?

I’ll check out your post, too –

  1. Oh, I read The Statistical Probability.. ages ago, and thought that, apart from the REALLY misleading title/blurb it was good. (Had I known more about the ACTUAL content, I wouldn’t have read it, though.) Hope you enjoyed it more than I did! 🙂

  2. I kind of fell off watching True Blood…I use to watch it religiously but then I cut back on my channels and I haven’t really picked it back up since. I really want to go to the library but I have so many books here there really isn’t a need.

I hope you have a great week!

    1. I had been meaning to watch TB forever, but I couldn’t find it anywhere (and HBO is about the only channel we don’t get). Our library is pretty awesome, so they have all of the DVDs. Unfortunately, I don’t think I will get to see Season 5 before Season 6 starts. I need to find someone who has HBO so I can see if they have Season 5 On Demand, and then if they’ll let me watch Season 6…it’ll be a party, right?

      Good week to you, Michelle!

    1. Thanks, Jenea. I’ve been a slacker this week already – it’s been gray the previous 2 days, and today it is raining. I finished watching True Blood yesterday, and now I have 2 reviews to write. I guess I’d best get to it…

      Have a great week!
