The Sunday Post 6.2.2013

The Sunday Post MemeThis is a fun meme started by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. As she says:

~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Here’s the awesomeness that you read, ingested, missed, hated, loved {whatever} last week:

Seems like I have been playing catch up for a month…bear with me a couple more weeks?

What I Posted…

The What What For Next Week…

  • The Sunday Post for 6.2.2013
  • Release Day Review: Peregrine Harker and the Black Death by Luke Hollands
  • Release Day Review: The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay
  • Book Review: Entwined by Heather Dixon
  • Book Review: The Carrie Diaries by Candace Bushnell
  • Feature and Follow Friday

New-ish Books

Thanks so much to Merit Press for my copy of Piece of My Heart by Lynn Maddalena Menna. I also got Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein from the library. In addition, I received these books for review:

  • Ink by Amanda Sun from (NetGalley/Harlqeuin TEEN);
  • Trash Can Days: A Middle School Saga by Teddy Steinkellner (NetGalley/Disney Hyperion);
  • Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire (NetGalley/Atria Books)
  • Holding On and Letting Go by Lucy Kelly (from Irresistible Reads for their blog tour)

Something Fun…

If you’re on Instagram, there is a photo contest going on this month for books (granted, there is always a photo contest going on…but I digress.) Anyway, it is sponsored by @BookSoulMates. You can either look at their Instagram page or search there via the hashtag BSMPhotoADay. It started on Saturday, but you can catch up. For those of you who have not participated in these before, there is a list of things that you need to post pictures of all month. It’s super fun, so 1.) follow InkandPage and 2.) start today!

What’s on your plate this week?

    1. I thought the first one was just OK – so we’ll see about this one! It’s pretty brave to release the same book from 2 different POVs.

      Thanks, K. This is exam week, then school’s out on Friday. You have a great week, too.
