A continuation of the Hourglass series, I found that I liked Timepiece better than the first book. The relationship between Kaleb and Lily is much more interesting than the relationship between the protagonists in Hourglass. The conflict, the discovery of new powers and the time-travel is much more full-bodied than the first book.
After the Hourglass rescues Kaleb Ballard’s dad, Liam, things just aren’t the same. Now it seems that everyone can see the ripples in time, and worse, the ripples have changed. More is learned about the people that Liam Ballard used to work with and how Teague and her group called Chronos are searching for Jonathan Landers. But why? Has it something to do with some stolen research regarding a time travel gene?
